A VR-24 reunion in Las Vegas,  Okay that sounds good to me.  I was in 24 from 88-92 and still to this day and squadrons later have had no finer time than i had there.

I remember VR-24 from my first deployment with VP-16 from JAX (NIP), FL winter of '67-'68.  One of the VRC-24 members Steve Crawford who flew the COD, C-1s, gave me the URL on the site so I "surfed in".  One of the VR-24 LCDR had been my flight leader at VT-2 Whiting Field summer of '66, saw him at Rota but can't remember his name?

I just found out about Dave Fincannon's passing. I knew him when I was stationed at NAS Sigonella Sicily in 1983 and remember him as being a nice guy as well as a whole lot of fun to be around.
My sincere condolences go out to his family and VR-24 friends, I know he is missed.

Hello, Im Terry Bradshaw and was stationed at the NAF a/f shop back in 75-76. AMHAN. I also played football, Capo Flyers. Defenceive guard#74. I remember Jim Killingsworth, Walsh, Bill(moon)Mullins, Lui Montiniary, Ron Peoples, Steve Miller, Dauis Miller, Linda Morgan, John Bender, Zerby, Chief Gill, Tabe Lovin, Bob Jenkins, Mr. Oliver, Capt. Stone,LTJG Jay Williams, Larry Whitworth, John Hays, TJ Curry. Sadly we all had to move to Sigonella but that wasnt bad duty either. I would like very much to here of any reunions in the future. Sure would like to see everyone. You dont really know how much of an impact everyone made on my life. Im sure I missed some names but trust me, the base and all the goodtimes will never be forgotten. Couldnt have been based with a more outstanding group. NAF-VR24.

Hi from Gene Walsh I was in VR-24 just before they moved to Sigonella , I was a C1a
Palne Captain and hung out with John Fischer (who I cant get a hold of) anyway I just wanted to see if anyone else was out there, my exact dates were 1974-1976 , I played football for the Capo Flyers , I can remember I guy named Ron Peoples who was a pretty good running back . I remember that great gym we had, a converted quanset hut with a basketball  hoop and a small universal gym, I used to take Karate lesson's in there from a Second class that was in the next hangar over. Captain Hatch was there when I first arrived, I used to have a Norton Comando Motorcycle and lived over by the hospital and when I drove to work I would drive by the Bay of Naples and see one of our Aircraft Carrier's out there and that would alway's give me a rush.Had some good time's there and I miss all you guy's , so if you were there at that time just give me a holler, ADR2-Gene Walsh at  gwalsh3rd@yahoo.com

Served with VR-24 from Jul 79 to Jul 81. Worked in Personnel and as Career Counselor.  My tour got cut short at VR because I had to move over to PSD when the PSD's were established.  Lived at Rasol Housing, great view from back yard. BBQ'd the heck out of chicken just down from the restaurant-calamary at the restaurant was great. Couldn't get enought of Fibber McGee and Molly on the radio.  Great Squadron, Great Shipmates. Great Co's and Xo's. Great Memories, Made Chief while at VR-24. I droved a Chinco Chento (Fiat 500). Brutal. Loved the food. Gas coupons were great. Have enjoyed going over the guest book.
