Steve and Suzie- it was good to hear from both of you and yes it was I that hauled you to t-town after your bike. Who had the yellow Norton? Suzie ,you bring back some great times with all of the girls at the Toyko. The week-ends in torremolinos were something. Forgotten Mandy but thought that Dot came to the States at one time.

Ron, I saw your message about Dot, Mandy and Joan.  I worked with them at the Tokyo and took trips to T-town on the bikes, also Vickie and Marion.  I can't remember Cecelia but I do remember a tall girl with Long blond hair, was that her?

Hello Wayne and Chris,  I think I recall you Wayne, dark hair and glasses ?  Chris, I am trying to place you!  Steve and I were just saying that we did not know everyone's last names!   perhaps Steve has a picture of you...........it has been a long time so take no offense :)  I hope you both are doing well and that life has treated you fairly.  I have lived here for 40 years now...amazing, how time goes by so quickly:)

Hi Chris (Almazan), Wayne (LaBeau), Ron (Clark) and Suzie,
I have posted some pics of that era on the VR-24 Facebook page. It's an interesting site as well, but not too many from the 68-72 period. I have more pics that can be uploaded, they are copies from an old instamatic camera. Since the 2007 reunion in Pensacola I have been in contact with you folks as well as Steve and Vicky, Mac and Sandy, Bill Noland Bill Hendrickson, Jim Casity, and a few others. It' s always great to hear news about those shipmates and civilian friends from Rota during that time. Would really like to know how some of the others are getting on! Hey Ron, if you had a blue spitfire you were the one that drove me to Torremolinos to pick up my water soaked BSA one night in Jan. 71.

I was in Rota from Jan. 1970 til Oct. 1971. Rode a Triumph Bonneville. Lived off base with Gordon Angell. Went to all the bars. Worked upstairs in communications. Suzie, I was trying to remember you. Spent time with Joan and Mandy from Liverpool. Moved to London after I got discharged and went barhopping in the east end with Dorothy (Dot), Mandy, Angell , Martin Courtney and another guy from VR when Marty and this other guy were stabbed by some locals. They were both put in the hospital and then stayed with us in a flat we rented. VR was the most fun a 23 year old guy could have. I have been in contact with Chris Almazon (750 Honda), emailed Steve Vrana a couple of years ago, saw that he still had his Triumph, down in Pensacola I think. Would be interested if anybody knew about Joan and Mandy.

Rota from 69 til 71  Tokyo bar was our place during that time- had apartment with a parachute hanging as a donation from pr loft. Lots of good times riding to T-town with the bikers. Steve Vrana, Mark Jons, Spanky and several others had bikes while I drove a Triumph Spitfire. Some of the girls were Dot, Cecelia and Jane.
