City, State: Heidelberg, Germany Comments: I was stationed at Sigonella from 1974-1976 and at VR-24 from 1981-1983. I have been back to visit a few times and I'm going again next week for a visit. There have been a lot of changes over the years, I'll stop by the base to see what's new.

City, State: Peachtree City, Ga Comments: This is a wonderful website. I was a C-2 pilot in VR-24 from Jan.'87-Jan '89. Wonderful duty. I remember it, and the folks I served with, with great fondness. I probably wasn't the best Branch Officer or Division Officer, but I had a great time. Thank goodness for the CPO's and PO's who kept me out of trouble. The plane captains and load masters were awesome and kept us flying. I wish I could rewind the clock and do it again.

City, State: Niceville, FL Comments: I haven't posted in a long time, so I thought I'd give an update. My mother, Marie Hatfield, wife of deceased LCDR "Porky" Hatfield, passed away in the fall of 2007. She was 84. My father, "Porky", was a pilot in VR-24 from spring 1958 until summer 1960. He passed away in 1979. I read of Virginia Speed's passing and it struck me that there probably aren't many of that generation left. Danny Speed and I were contemporaries and played ball in Port Lyautey. Hello danny, please accept my condolences for your mother. Jim may not remember me, since he was older, but I remember him.
