I was an AT in VR-24 from oct. 1952 to May 1955. I would like to hear from any of the old timers from that era.

Hello all.

I was not in VR-24 directly. I was an AT1 stationed at AIMD in Naples in the 70’s. I was there when all of AIMD transferred from Naples to Sig.  The old C-2 I-level maintenance trailers.

Worked with a few TAD from VR-24. Had some good times.

I wasn't in VR-24.  But I was aboard the USS Intrepid from 1963-66 and was part of a four man plane crew for the ship's C1A.  We maintained it and flew on it's missions.  Liked your pictures on this site, Great little plane!

I don't know who "TOMMY" is but he needs to be blocked from this site. Man, how could you disrespect this site with your commercial garbage? Has anyone else received junk from this clown on your personal email addresses? I have not added my own email to this because of lowlifes like this. I was in VR-24 in Sig from 76-79. Some of the best times of my life. I have great memories of many good people and fun times. Best of luck to all my shipmates. Ray Mathis

Hi I hope some one can help me with some information and pictures. My cousin was LT John H Condon. He was a pilot with VR-24 in Naples in the late 60's into the 70's. I saw a picture of him in the Todd collection at a party on page 22 picture 7. He is the 2nd person from the left in the pictures with the red ribbons hanging down. Lt John was killed in the spring of 1970 in an auto accident in Naples. My family has no pictures or information on him during his time with VR-24. If anyone has pictures or any information on John Please contact me at my e-mail address. My son is named after John and has had a lot of questions that I cant answer. I myself was in the NAVY from 1961 to 1967 and was an RM3 and flew with VP-8 and VP-18  in P2V-7 SP2H during the Cuban Blockade. My time in the Navy was one of the reasons John went into the Navy instead of the Army after ROTC.
Thank You
James Condon RM3 USN
